A 1920’s primadonna is taking off her clothes, and then some. Playing with the idea that something very beautiful and desirable may contain something very ugly and disgusting. Classical and seedy, graceful and horrific, it is a striptease taken to its extreme. It was developed in, and as a response to, various burlesque shows at the “Slipper Room”, the Coney Island Sideshows by the Seashore as part of the Village Voice Siren music festival, Dabora Art Gallery, and Galapagos Art Space at “Phat Tuesday” and “Gone” shows.
